What is private API usage?
Private API usage refers to all API calls you make to our APIs from private apps or Personal Access Tokens. Any private interaction with our API ecosystem counts toward your paid requests.
Which APIs do you charge for?
We charge you for requests made to all of our available APIs and SDKs. Any private interaction with our API ecosystem counts toward your paid requests.
Do I pay for the API usage made by apps I install from the Marketplace?
No, the API calls made by apps you install from our public Marketplace don’t count toward your private API usage. For Marketplace apps, you only pay the application subscription set by the app developer.
What’s the difference between API calls and AI resolutions?
API calls are requests you or your applications make to our API ecosystem. AI resolutions are a default feature of Text that happens under the hood. You maintain your API calls and requests. Text maintains AI resolutions.
Do all of the APIs cost the same price per request?
Yes, the request price is the same for all available APIs.
Can I set a request limit for my organization?
At the moment, there’s no option to set a limit on requests. We’re happy to discuss a custom pricing plan to help you better predict your costs.
Do I pay for failed requests?
We charge for all requests sent to our API except requests with a 500 response status.
How often and how will I get charged?
We’ll automatically charge the credit card linked to your subscription each month. Contact us if you want to discuss a different billing period.
Where can I access my API invoices?
You can find all of your API usage invoices in the LiveChat billing section.
How do the packages work?
You can buy and install an API package directly from the Marketplace like other applications. This installation happens automatically in the background when you purchase an API package in the Developer Console.
Can I buy multiple packages at once?
No — only one API package can be active at a time. If you buy more than one package application, you will only receive the number of requests equal to the bigger API package.
Do packages renew automatically?
Yes. Each API package runs on a monthly billing cycle and renews unless you uninstall the package application from your license.
What happens to my unused package requests?
Your requests reset at the end of each billing period. Unused requests don't roll over to the next month.
Is the Expert consultation included every month?
No. The API consultation is a one-time session.
What does the Expert consultation include?
The consultation includes a one-on-one session with an API specialist. You can talk about your use cases and how to get the most out of your package.
How do I change my API package?
To change your current API package, you should uninstall your current package first, then select a new one.
What happens if I reach my package limit?
API packages don’t limit the number of requests you can send to the APIs. When you go above the number of requests in your package, further calls are billed at standard API rates.
